Maggie Makes Four!

This journal started off documenting the adoption of our youngest daughter. It now follows the twist and turns of our lives as we raise these two amazing little creatures into the best women they can become.

To the airport we must GO!

The time has come to start talking about rides to and from the airport. Do you have any idea how difficult this is to arrange? First there is La Nina to consider. Our flight is late and we technically could put her to bed with a kiss, leave and make our flight. But would she flip out if she woke up and we were gone? Would she never trust us again to put her down and not disappear? She knows we are leaving soon and that knowledge is starting to worry her. We could consider having her travel to the airport with us, saying good bye then heading home with her Auntie. That could work, but I am not sure the mini-van is big enough for 3 adults, 1 car seat and all our luggage.

There is always the option that the NanaPapas could take us to the airport and we could say good by at home while LaNina is awake. But would the bags fit in their trunk? We each get two carry-ons and two pieces of luggage. These aren't your run of the mill, going away for the weekend bags. These are bags that will sustain a baby and 2 parents for 2 weeks in a hotel room. Someone could drive our van to the airport, then bring it home. But that seems a pain too. So much to consider! Time we start thinking about it.
