Maggie Makes Four!

This journal started off documenting the adoption of our youngest daughter. It now follows the twist and turns of our lives as we raise these two amazing little creatures into the best women they can become.

Wow! Is this real?

Maggie's Dad and I were talking tonight about logistics and it is hard to believe we are finally getting close to travel. The tickets and visas arrive tomorrow. The level of anxiety just isn't the same as last time. I was so worried about making bottles, changing diapers and dealing with a sick kid prior to leaving to meet La Nina. Well, a couple of years into being a Mom, I have dealt with all of the above under many, many conditions, including in a Chinese Hotel room. So, this whole process just isn't as scary. I really just want to know her size to know if I am bringing the right things. It would really save suitcase space.

Last time around, I remember the diaper bag through me into a hissy. I couldn't decide if I should carry it or pack it. It sounds like such a silly worry now, but then, I really couldn't decide. I ended up packing it into a suitcase. It was too scary to actually carry it. I mean, that meant, gulp, I would have to use it. This time I just can't get worked up about a diaper bag. Of course, I will carry the diaper bag. Duh! It is the perfect place for my wallet, id and a book! Plus it has that nice little lined bag for my toothbrush.
