Day 2 in China
Well, we are back from our welcome lunch, have a little more information and a lot less cash. The photo posted below is of the China team. This group acts as our guides, translators, babysitters and facilitators for the next two weeks. For those who traveled with us last time, Sara, Jimmy and Martin are the only returning team members from 2002. Sara remembered the Anqing group and was glad to hear we have the current photos of the Anqing Seven (minus one).
We have more information on tomorrow, aka the BIG DAY. It turns out we will not get Maggie until tomorrow afternoon. She will be traveling to the big city in the morning and then meeting us in the afternoon. That means she should be at her tired, cranky best after 8 hours on a bus. Doesn't matter to us, we can't wait to meet her. For those wanting to calculate the exact moment on Pacific Standard Time, we should have Miss Maggie in our arms right around midnight.
That is it for now. We are savoring the joys of childless travel as we know that our time will soon belong to Maggie.
